Resale Bookstore
Location: The Guild Bookstore, adjacent to St. Simons Public Library
Schedule: Year-round, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with two shift options:
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Duties: Volunteers work in pairs to greet customers, handle sales, and tidy the inventory.
Commitment: Flexible — most volunteers work just one shift per month, and the schedule is provided a month in advance.
Training will be provided.
Book Sale
Location – The Casino Atrium, adjacent to St. Simons Public Library
Schedule: October 8 -10, 2026 & April 29 -May 1, 2027
Duties: Setup, Greeter, Cashier, Restock, Monitor, Breakdown – varied shifts throughout each day.
Commitment: Flexible
Training will be provided.

Volunteer Recognition
Each January, the Board recognizes all volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Reception. The Board also recognizes one volunteer for their outstanding service the previous year. The Volunteer of the Year plaque is on display in the Literary Guild Resale Bookstore.
