Meet the Authors: Alice Friman and Bruce Gentry

EVENT CANCELED TO BE RESCHEDULEDAlice Friman and Bruce Gentry. Alice is the author of seven full-length poetry collections, most recently Blood Weather. She is a recipient of the 2012 Georgia Author of the Year Award in Poetry, a 2012 Pushcart Prize, and the Ezra Pound Poetry Award from Truman State University, and is included in Best American Poetry 2009. She lives in Milledgeville where she is Poet-in-Residence at Georgia College and State University. Joining Alice is her husband Dr. Bruce Gentry, a professor at GCSU, editor of the Flannery O’Connor Review and The Cartoons of Flannery O’Connor at Georgia College, co-editor of the oral history At Home with Flannery O’Connor and the author of Flannery O’Connor’s Religion of the Grotesque.
