Chuck Carter, a local author, will discuss his debut novel, The Half-Life of Carson Hood, a popular thriller set on St. Simons Island. 

Chuck is a Georgia Tech graduate who majored in industrial management. He spent much of his career producing contracts for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and manuals for medical systems. He also spent time in the mortgage banking world but had a foray into journalism when he purchased a newspaper in Florida. Eventually, though, Carter landed in the Golden Isles, a place his family has vacationed for generations.
