Welcome to the Literary Guild of St. Simons Island

We’re a nonprofit literary organization with more than 800 members, dedicated to fostering a love of reading, writing, and lifelong learning since 2012.

Thanks to our partnership with Marshes of Glynn Libraries, we sponsor:

  • Author talks and book discussions

  • Film screenings

  • Writing seminars and workshops

We also proudly support local businesses by partnering with G.J. Ford Bookshop and Righton Books.

Our fundraising efforts benefit the St. Simons Island Library, especially through:

  • Book sales (Spring & Fall)

  • Donations from our community bookstore, open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

We award annual grants to support literacy-based programs at the library—and offer memberships starting at just $10.

Whether you’re a reader, a writer, or simply curious, we invite you to get involved and help keep our literary community thriving.
